BOC, Academy Jointly Promote Party Building

Bank of China (BOC) Shenzhen Branch and the Shenzhen Reform and Opening Up Executive Leadership Academy signed an agreement at Shenzhen Archives Center in Futian District to jointly promote Party building works on July 28.

Liu Xinqun, Party chief and head of BOC Shenzhen Branch，Li Yiping, member of BOC Shenzhen Branch Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC)，Chen Min, Party chief and executive deputy president of the Shenzhen Reform and Opening Up Executive Leadership Academy，Chen Jiaxi, deputy president and Party committee member of the academy，and some 50 Party members from the branch and the academy attended the signing ceremony.

The agreement was signed by Li Yiping and Chen Jiaxi.

According to Liu Xinqun, the Shenzhen branch will adhere to relevant development strategies of the CPC Central Committee and the head office of BOC and will shoulder the responsibility of promoting the development of brick-and-mortar economy as well as better serving the society. The bank will remain steadfast playing the pilot demonstrative role in financial industry and dedicating themselves to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Liu stated that through jointly organizing Party building activities, the cooperation between the branch and the academy will be enhanced and consolidated. He hoped that the both sides can covert the political advantage gained from their cooperation into the driving force for development and into the practices which help them better operate and better serve the people.

Chen Min stated in his speech that three important missions have been bestowed to the academy. First of all, the academy should study, elaborate on and promote Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in an all-round manner. Secondly, it should cultivate outstanding cadres for China’s reform and opening up, for building a great modern socialist country and for the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Thirdly, the academy should tell the stories of Shenzhen, Guangdong and China so as to better manifest the role Guangdong Province plays in displaying the achievement of China’s reform and opening up to the world.

The academy has rolled out a collection of quality training projects, core curriculum and research achievements since its establishment and is striving to build itself into an international innovative education platform and training base, according to Chen. He hoped that the academy and the BOC Shenzhen branch will cooperate more in the future.
