Class theme: A witness to a century of vicissitudes and Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperative opportunities in the new era

Originally named “Luci Trail,” Zhongying Street was formed after years of siltation on the riverbed of a stream flowing from Wutong Mountain to Dapeng Bay. With border markers separating the street in two between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, this historical landscape of "One Street, Two Systems" has its unique appeal. The street is a cultural relic, tourist attraction as well as a site for patriotic education.

Basic facts:Shenzhen Bay Bridge, formerly known as Shenzhen Bay Highway Bridge, is a cross-sea bridge connecting Shenzhen’s Nanshan District with Yuen Long District of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Over Shenzhen Bay of Lingding Ocean, it is part of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Western Corridor. Construction started on Aug. 28, 2003, and the bridge opened to traffic on July 1, 2007. It has played an important role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two cities.

Class theme: Shenzhen-hong Kong "one-stop" entrepreneurship resource platform

Basic facts:The Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub, also known as the Dream Factory, started operation on Dec. 7, 2014. Initiated by the Qianhai Administration Bureau, Shenzhen Youth Federation and Hong Kong Youth Association, it is a service platform that caters to the need of young aspiring entrepreneurs in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and from around the world. The Dream Factory focuses on modern logistics, information services, scientific and technological services, cultural and creative industries and other professional services. Helping young people with innovative and entrepreneurial ideas to realize their dreams, it is a new experiment for startup incubators.

4、The Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone for Technology and Innovation at the Lok Ma Chau Loop

Class theme: A new effort in Shenzhen-Hong Kong joint development

Basic facts:Located in the southern part of Futian District where Shenzhen borders on Hong Kong, the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone for Technology and Innovation is a key project in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The Futian Free Trade Zone is tasked with “guaranteeing a steady growth in foreign trade” and “promoting science and technology innovation.” The cooperation zone is a national-level scientific and technological innovation cooperation platform designated by the "Outline of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Plan" and the "Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Supporting Shenzhen to Build a Pilot Demonstration Zone of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics." With an innovative management mechanism, the platform aims to facilitate the efficient and convenient flow of capital, talents, technologies and information.

5、The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen hospital (HKU-SZH)

Class theme: A new model of medical service cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong

Basic facts:The University of Hong Kong Shenzhen Hospital (HKU-SZH), covering an area of 190,000 square meters, is a major comprehensive public hospital built by the Shenzhen Municipal Government, and runs according to a modern medical management model supported by The University of Hong Kong. Introducing world-class disciplines of the HKU, the hospital offers services in six major clinics as well as an International Medical Center that provides cutting-edge and high-end medical services.
