1、Shenzhen Municipal Party and Public Service Center

Class theme: Reinforcing the leadership of the Party and reaching out to companies and the public

Basic facts: Shenzhen Municipal Party and Public Service Center was officially put into use before July 1, 2018. The municipal center and 1,039 previously built grassroots service centers in office buildings, business centers, industrial parks and communities form an open, efficient three-tier system of Party building in urban areas.

2、Shenzhen Volunteer Association

Class theme: Gifts of roses have a lingering fragrance; Shenzhen as a city of volunteers is continuously evolving

Basic facts: The Shenzhen Volunteer Association (SVA) is a social organization initiated by the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League. It is formed by people from all walks of life who are willing to provide volunteer services to the young and the society. Registered in April 1990, it is the first legal person volunteer organization on the Chinese mainland. The SVA adheres to the tenet of "serving the society and spreading good will," advocating "participation, mutual assistance, dedication, and progress." It helps to spread the idea of mutual assistance summed up in such sayings as "helping others to help themselves" and "giving roses to others, lingering fragrance in hands."

3、Shenzhen North Railway Station Party and Public Service Center

Class theme: Party building leads to good governance in communities

Basic facts: Shenzhen North Railway Station Party and Public Service Center covers an area of 2,800 square meters, with an administrative service area, an events area and a workshop area. The center is equipped with 26 function rooms. The service center has innovated in community governance and provided professional social services to the residents. While building a community of the people, by the people and for the people, the service center explores a new way of co-governance under the leadership of the local Party committee, becoming a well-known example of good grassroots governance in the country.

4、Yumin Village community

Class theme: Building a pilot demonstration village and a benchmark for people’s wellbeing

Basic facts: Located in Nanhu Subdistrict, Luohu District, Yumin Village covers an area of about 0.25 square kilometers. It was the first village in China with annual household incomes surpassing 10,000 yuan and one of the country’s first to set up community joint-stock companies. A model of urbanization, the village is epitome of Shenzhen’s legendary transformation from a fishing town to an international metropolis. On the new journey of building a pilot demonstration zone of socialism with Chinese characteristics in Shenzhen, the Luohu District Party committee and government have again designated Yumin Village as a pilot. Under the leadership of local Party branches, Yumin Village aims to build a “benchmark for people’s wellbeing” and a pilot demonstration village.

6、Nanling Village community

Class theme: A pioneer in building a beautiful and happy community in the new era

Basic facts: Located in Nanwan Subdistrict, Longgang District, Nanling Village is a national civilized village, with a population of more than 100,000. Focusing on economic growth, the village has leaned heavily on the leadership of grassroots Party branches, seized the historic opportunity of reform and opening up, and led its residents onto a road of prosperity.
