Political Party Cadres from Sri Lanka Conclude Visit Programme in Shenzhen and Guangzhou

A delegation of political party cadres from Sri Lanka has completed a visit programme in Shenzhen and Guangzhou. Organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Shenzhen Reform and Opening Up Executive Leadership Academy, the programme aimed to deepen bilateral understanding and foster practical cooperation.

The delegation gained first-hand insights into China's development through a curated itinerary. In Shenzhen, visits to the Guangdong 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-Up Exhibition and Yumin Village illustrated the city's remarkable transformation. The programme also featured stops at leading tech companies such as Appotronics and the Bao'an Urban Air Mobility Operations Demonstration Centre, showcasing Shenzhen's innovation-driven growth.






In Guangzhou, the focus extended to cultural heritage and modern development. Participants explored the historical significance of the Huangpu Military Academy and the architectural artistry of the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. They also engaged with contemporary initiatives, including the industrial applications of AI at the Baidu PaddlePaddle Artificial Intelligence Centre and enjoyed panoramic city views from the Canton Tower.





The programme facilitated in-depth exchanges on technological innovation and cultural preservation, strengthening dialogue under the Belt and Road Initiative. Shenzhen Reform and Opening Up Executive Leadership Academy remains committed to serving as a platform for international exchange and looks forward to fostering continued collaboration with Sri Lanka and other global partners.
