Lecture held on future digital city

On 14 August, a lecture entitled "Future-oriented Smart City and Digital Twin" was successfully held at the Shenzhen Reform and Opening Up Executive Leadership Academy. The guest speaker was Professor Ang Hu, a foreign academician from the Engineering Academy of Japan. Over 100 officials in Shenzhen gathered to attend this excellent talk. Meanwhile, the lecture was broadcast live online to more than 130 young officials from Guangming District.

In the lecture, Prof. Hu analysed the big city disease and its solutions from the development trend of world cities. He then introduced the concept of "Super Intelligent Society", which is the goal of Japan's future society, as well as the opportunities and challenges of urban digital integration. Next, Prof. Hu discussed the application and value of digital twins in smart cities. At the end of the lecture, Prof. Hu had an hour-long interactive exchange with the participants, discussing the potential of building a smart city in Shenzhen.

 

The lecture not only brought us a reflection on the future city, but also provided new ideas and directions for our smart city teaching. In the near future, our Academy will continue the International Lecture Series with the aim of broadening the global vision of learners and providing intellectual support for official training.
