Academy joins hands with Qianhai authority

A ceremony for the signing of key cooperation projects between Shenzhen and Hong Kong was held at Qianhai Kerry Center on the afternoon of Jan. 26. The Shenzhen Reform and Opening Up Executive Leadership Academy signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Qianhai authority at the ceremony. Huang Min, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, member of the Party Leadership Group of the People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality, and secretary of the Party Working Committee of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone, Huang Qiang, vice secretary-general of the People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality, Sun Zheng, head of the training division of the Organization Department of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Chen Min, Party chief and executive vice president of the Academy, Che Lei, vice Party chief of the Academy, Fang Min, vice president of the Academy, and Gong Zheng, education chief of the Academy, attended the ceremony. Zhang Jiaxi, vice president of the Academy, and Zhang Feimeng, vice head of the Qianhai authority, signed the agreement on behalf of the two parties.

According to the agreement, the two parties will thoroughly implement the guidelines given by General Secretary Xi Jinping in his speeches delivered at the ceremony celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and during his inspection to Guangdong, and the Guidelines of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Supporting Shenzhen in Building a Pilot Demonstration Area of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, and join hands to facilitate the advancement of key research projects, provide education programs, host conferences, build institutions, promote talent exchanges, and improve Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation and international exchanges, so as to explore new paths, provide new driving forces and make new contributions to help Shenzhen seize the opportunities presented by the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the building of Shenzhen into a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics and support Shenzhen to construct a model city for a great modern socialist country.

The Shenzhen Reform and Opening Up Executive Leadership Academy is a professional institute established with approval from the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee to undertake the training of cadres in the reform and opening up. With a focus on reform and opening up, the Academy, based in Shenzhen, will serve the whole country and exchange with the whole world and make great efforts to build an innovative, open and international teaching platform, practice base and exhibition center.
